Broker's Comments

The first boat sold to this owner was in 1985, so we have had a long and enjoyable business relationship and friendship for many years. Starting with a Swan 391, then a Swan 44, then the graceful entrance in to the power boat experience with a 43’, a 37’, and now this Back Cove 41, all kept and maintained by Jamestown Boat Yard. CYGNET was purchased in Maryland and then trucked to Jamestown in December 2020, where she immediately went in to the paint shed, and looks stunning with her dark blue hull. The cherry interior is lovely, and the two cabin layout has given them the necessary space for all the grandchildren!

Lightly used in summer 2021 due to an issue with the holding tank, she has very low hours on both engine and genset. This summer plans include cruising Narragansett Bay, the Cape and Islands, and plans for Maine in August. The owner does want to keep his boat through the end of August due to his cruising plans, and make her available to the new owner 1 September.

Note

Offered to co-brokers on a commission split of 50/50.

Owner's Comments

Having owned numerous boats over the years, CYGNET is a pleasure to cruise, and our family has definitely enjoyed our Back Cove 37 and this 41. She is well suited for on board living for several weeks, and with numerous family members including younger grandchildren joining us, her cockpit area and main salon give us enough space for all the toys. These boats are well known for how easily they handle, with easy access to dinghy and transom platform for swimming. We have enjoyed taking our boats to Maine and the various stops between there and Jamestown, often heading out for several weeks at a time. Having the enclosed helm/salon has been great, as this is New England and hiding from the weather while underway is needed often.

But at 84 years young, it is time to pass CYGNET on to a younger owner, reluctantly…she is a great boat, well maintained, and has been great fun.
