Fortier 33 Fisherman, FIRE FLY was purchased by this owner in 2007, and has resided on a mooring in Newport Harbor during the summer months, and ashore, covered, in the winter months. Her owner has enjoyed her with his family and friends, fishing in the local waters. This classic down east hull is extremely seaworthy, and gives a great ride. The enclosed cockpit helm area is extremely comfortable when the weather kicks up. Her diesel was replaced in 1997 by the previous owner, and oil analysis has been done on a regular basis, as well as any maintenance needed. The interior has been re-varnished and also, very recently, the exterior windshield in 2022.

Owner's Comments

FIRE FLY is my baby, and it is difficult to actually place her on the market, but am at the point when handling her alone is getting to be difficult. Have had a great time with her, cruising Newport Harbor with my sons and now grandson, as well as offshore fishing with my friends. Having been on draggers and lobster boats in my younger years, it was important to me to have a boat that handled well, and had the down east hull. FIRE FLY has truly been a great boat for me, she is pretty in the water, and always gets comments.
