Building a new yacht is a special experience for a buyer, and our sales staff have the key skills needed to navigate the difficulties of this very exciting process! It is often a lengthy process from idea to delivery so a good relationship with your broker is key and that’s where we are here to help and guide you through.
Our team has been to all of the manufacturing facilities who are building the brands we offer, meeting face to the face with their staff and working together to streamline the order process. We offer a wide range of new yachts to meet whatever your needs may be. These are Moody Yachts, British built Rustler Yachts, Sealine Yachts built by the Hanse group in Germany and Solaris Yachts of Italy.
For a US buyer, it is important to trust the chosen yacht broker/new boat agent handling your deal, including not only the build but also the delivery and warranty of their magic carpet of choice. Having built new yachts with our clients since 1981, Berthon USA’s experience is extensive and we are proud to say we have dealt with ship/boatyards in Finland, Sweden, Holland, Italy, Turkey, the United Kingdom and Germany to date.
The Berthon USA team will work with you from the initial showing, to build specification/contract, the build, and then the delivery, commissioning and of course, after sales service. In most cases, your broker will be there as the yacht leaves the factory for a final inspection, and there when the yacht is delivered to you – wherever that may be.
Your new yacht can be picked up at the factory, delivered by a professional crew, or delivered via a Yacht Transport Service – to the closest port near you. It is quite convenient that the transport ships usually have Newport, Baltimore and Florida as regular discharge ports, one of which is usually suitable for our clients. Whatever port it may be, we also have a good yard that will assist with the final commissioning when the time comes.
Since 2011, Berthon USA has been the dealer for Moody Yachts. Moody designs by Bill Dixon are fast, comfortable cruising yachts, with all the modern features. What is incredible to sail are the 'decksaloon' versions, with tons of storage and one level living, a feature sought after by those planning a long distance adventure or simply a full time liveaboard situation. The decksaloons are available in the Moody 41 DS, the popular 45 DS, or the roomy and fast 4-cabin Moody 54 DS.

In September 2020, our brand offering was expanded yet again with the addition of Sealine powerboats - built by Hanse of Germany, ranging from 33′ to 53′. Sealine offers the comfort and speed you would expect, with swim platforms, inboard or outboards, etc.

In 2021, we were delighted to become the East Coast USA agents for Solaris Yachts, building high quality sailing yachts from 44-111’. These Italian built yachts are true cruiser/racers, designed for the owner/operator in ease of handling, and of course, very well built.
