Moody Yachts has been around for 150 years. Many things have changed over that time, but the philosophy, ethos, and excellence in design and manufacturing have remained the same. Today, the company offers a range of one-of-a-kind deck saloon yachts, the result of these years of innovation.
The current range of yachts offered by Moody includes a variety of sizes to suit all needs and budgets. It starts with the Moody DS41, which made its debut at the 2020 Düsseldorf Boat Show. Building on the success of her earlier sisters, she features a large, expansive deckhouse with 360-degree glass and minimally intrusive pillars. With the settee on one side, and the galley and chart table opposite, a sliding door connects it to the signature ‘one-level living’ concept, extending out to the cockpit. Forward of the saloon, and down a few steps, are large, airy owner’s and guest cabins, with one or two head layout options.
Next up is the brand-new Moody DS48, which is visually similar to the DS41. It is a high-volume boat, featuring 2 cabins, a workroom, and 2 or 3 head/3-stall shower layout options forward. The deck saloon once again offers 360-degree glass, a generous seating area, and a full-width galley aft. The cockpit includes two separate tables and can be equipped with a wet bar/BBQ option aft. Beneath the cockpit, there is a dinghy garage with an optional launching davit for the dinghy.
The range culminates with the impressive Moody DS54, launched in 2013, which has now sold over 100 units. Based on the same hull as the popular Hanse 588, this 57-foot boat offers 3 or 4 cabins, an upper or lower galley, and space for washer-dryers, extra fridges, freezers, and much more. Most are configured for push-button sailing and can be easily managed by a couple, with at least two known to be sailed single-handedly.
All models offer a vast range of customizable options to express your personal tastes. First, there is a wonderful selection of layouts to suit your needs across all models. Next, you can choose from a pleasing variety of interior finishes, from exquisite soft furnishings to mahogany, oak, or teak for your cabinetry. You can also configure all the on-board equipment, including the engine size, yacht draft, hull color, and navigation equipment. The yacht can truly be transformed to match your exact preferences, tailor-made to your precise specifications and needs.
No matter what you plan to do with your Moody, she will be capable of it all. Whether you’re setting off for bluewater cruising across oceans or enjoying coastal cruising with family, you can sail confidently, knowing that your Moody will take care of you.
