Broker's Comments

The Rustler 33 is conceived to be a larger weekender sister to the very popular Rustler 24 daysailer. As such, she has similar classic hull lines, spoon bow and long overhangs, but her underbody has a modern fin keel and spade rudder, with the tiller cleverly offset aft from the rudder by means of a drag link, which frees up the cockpit over similar boats such as the Morris 29. The cockpit is long and deep, and has 2 removable seats aft, so that the helmsperson can sit or stand. This Stephen Jones design may look like a classic boat from years ago, but she is deceptively fast!

With a decent sized low-profile cabin, enclosed head compartment and 3+ berths, teak, and holly cabin sole, she really is pretty inside and has the same fit and finish as her bigger sisters.

The standard spec is very complete, including quality Penrose sails, headsail roller furling, a 14hp diesel with sail drive and more. Options include hull colours, Raymarine electronics, Teak or Flexiteek decks, Carbon mast and boom, a stack pack with lazy jacks and inside, a choice of wood, fabrics, and an optional galley.

There are several Rustler 33’s in the New England area, enjoying both day sailing and racing. The boat is both light enough and narrow enough to be towed on a trailer by an SUV.
