The Nautor Swan 391, HALF MOON, has spent her entire life based in New England under the care of just three dedicated owners. The first owner sold her in 1993 when he purchased a new Swan 40. The current owner bought the boat in 1997 and returned her to Marion, where the first owner had kept her. Over the years, she has undergone extensive and consistent maintenance and upgrades, including a new glued-down 12mm teak deck installed by Jamestown Boatyard in 2010, a custom keel modification reducing the draft and adding a bulb, and the replacement of the aluminum toerails with teak. The electronics have been upgraded, and the hull has been painted.
The build quality reflects Swan’s legendary, bulletproof single-skin hull construction, complemented by a beautiful teak interior with teak and holly soles. The aft cabin features a double and a single berth, while the main saloon has a centerline table, two settees, and two pilot berths. Forward, there is a V-berth cabin with an adjacent enclosed head. The L-shaped galley is located next to the companionway, with a large navigation table opposite.
HALF MOON has always been stored indoors during the off-season, at a highly reputable sailboat-oriented yard. In recent years, she has been primarily used for day sailing. With her custom shallow keel, she is truly a gem!
