Owner's Comments

Since purchasing BLISS 10 years ago, we have enjoyed cruising the coast of New England in the summer and the eastern Caribbean in the winter, voyaging between them each spring and fall. Our five children, their friends, and ours all cherish fond memories of the places we have visited and the times we have spent together. We entered Trinidad in late 2022 for a major refit, which included new teak decks, a new Yanmar auxiliary, new standing rigging, new electronics, new paint, and much more (after years of multiple, major upgrades). We planned and expected to relish BLISS for the next ten years. However, life changes, children grow up, and we are needed elsewhere. Perhaps someday we will return to cruising, but BLISS deserves to be sailed and enjoyed.

When we first acquired BLISS, we were drawn to the spacious master cabin and the large aft deck above it. We appreciated the convenience of electric winches and heads, the in-boom furling mainsail, washer-dryer, and all the other luxurious amenities. The three stateroom/three head layout suited our family (five kids) well. We were aware of Tayana’s reputation for quality and this model’s reported sailing abilities. What we didn’t know then was how competent a boat she was – how well designed for long, offshore passages and extended cruising – how she kept her crew safe and comfortable – how abundant the storage and tankage were – and how eager she was to head to sea and sail. She has been very well cared for and upgraded with the idea that she would be our “forever” boat.
