Tofinou 12, STUART LITTLE, is a lovely performance day sailer built in France, certainly appealing to what a US buyer would consider a sporty boat! Cleverly designed so that all sail controls lead back to the helm/cockpit, it features a minimalized interior for weight savings. The owner sought a fun boat for use in the Newport area, one that combined style with function, and found it in the Tofinou 12. They have added new electronics, sails, and conducted rebuilds on the engine, bow thruster, and sail drive, ensuring everything is up to date and ready to go. The addition of new Stratis Carbon sails doesn’t hurt either!
Offered to co-brokers on a commission split of 50/50
STUART LITTLE was lying in Mallorca, Spain, when I purchased her. Her original German owner didn’t really use the boat much, so she needed some updating from being unused.
The boat has turned out to be as fun and easy to sail as I thought. She doesn’t require much air to move right along and also sails well with just the main alone.
The cockpit is really good for a group, as there is space to move around and it also feels very secure and comfortable while you’re in it, not on it. The stack pack worked out very well after some adjustments. When you’re finished sailing, you can simply drop the main straight in, tighten it up, and pull the zipper. No real flaking necessary. The bow thruster provides a lot of control for docking and undocking.
After getting the boat all set up and updated, it turns out that our personal health situation has changed, which obviously wasn’t the plan.
